So this little beauty is my all-time favourite occasion dress. I got it last year for a family wedding, and totally forgot about it until last weekend when we went to a friend’s beach wedding! I was literally on my way out of the door with a bag packed full of outfits I didn’t reeeeeeally want to wear, when I suddenly remembered this.
The dress is from MaxMara (style: ‘Danzica’) – one of my favourite boutiques, although not somewhere I get to shop too often! Unfortunately it’s no longer available on their site but is available on some third-party websites. For me, it’s the perfect summer dress: the yellow pops a tan, the floaty material means you’re not too sweaty, and the overall colour scheme means you can pair it with so many different accessories. The best bit? The A-line fit means it hides any food babies… (me, every day, when considering what to wear).
The shoes are my ultimate go-to strappy shoes; they’re high enough to give some lift but not too high to make them uncomfortable. I’ve literally walked all around London wearing them! They’re super cheap and from New Look, which again is such a staple in my shopping hit-list.
The hat was another last-minute throw on and is from Primark. Particularly in summer, I find Primark such a handy store – beachwear is always fast fashion, and generally ends up covered in suncream, so it’s not something I want to spend a lot of money on. Plus I always manage to find some great dupes in there, even if the fit is somewhat dubious at times…
